FAQ and Terms & Conditions
Some handy information and boring but important legal stuff which applies to all orders and information on my site…
Important safety information – art not toys
It probably goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway) – all of my work is for “visual appreciation” only and should not be played with by children. I use high quality artists’ paints which are technically non-toxic but not designed to be sucked or eaten!
A few general things to note
Who will make your order Everything I supply will always be hand-painted by me, myself and I in my Tunbridge Wells “studio” (the spare room actually but “studio” sounds so much posher) although I use other people for drilling holes and priming wood.
Variations My work is not mass produced so there may be minor variations between the examples on my site and anything you order. This means that your artwork will be unique and can also often be tailored to your own requirements.
Dimensions Please note that the dimensions are approximate and there may be very minor variations.
Colour matches I am only able to guarantee colour matches for pieces which are ordered at the same time.
Art, not toys It probably goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway) – all of my work is for “visual appreciation” only and should not be played with by children.
How long will your order take?
Please click here for up to date information about my current workload, time-scales and any holidays I might have which will affect order times. As a rule of thumb, please order as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
All transactions on my website are processed securely by Paypal. When paying through Paypal you may either use a debit/credit card or a Paypal account if you have one. Paypal also offers an excellent buyer protection programme for your peace of mind.
For larger commissions and bespoke wedding orders I will email you an invoice and payment should be made by BACS (electronic bank transfer). This is a straightforward process which you can usually arrange online or over the telephone with your bank and I will give you the account information you will need.
If agreed in advance I can also take payment by cheque – please contact me if you’d like to do this.
Payment and time scales
Full payment must be made before I start work. The time scales indicated in our conversations will be effective from the date of payment e.g. if I advise you on 1st May that it will take 14 days but you do not pay until 10th May, your item will be sent out by 24th May.
Delivery & shipping
Depending on value, I will send your items by Royal Mail 1st class post, “signed for 1st class post” or Special Delivery. Larger signs will be sent by Parcelforce.
Whilst 1st class post usually arrives within 24 hours it can take longer therefore please be patient. If your item has not arrived within 14 days after posting please let me know and I will of course repaint the item which has gone missing.

I’m very happy to post overseas. Please contact me to let me know what you’d like to order so that I can confirm shipping costs to you.
I take great pride in what I do and really want you to love anything that I paint for you. Every item is painted to order and is very likely to be personalised with text of your choice, therefore I am unable to offer returns except in certain circumstances where I have made an error as follows:
– The item is not as we had agreed and detailed on your invoice
– I have done something really silly like spelling a name wrong
I will take reasonable measures that we both have the same understanding in advance of starting work on any commission you might order and to contact you in the event that any clarity is needed.
I cannot be held responsible for any errors in the information you provide to me although obviously will try to help in altering or replacing the piece if possible (an additional charge is likely apply). Please therefore make sure that you provide me with accurate spellings and dates where applicable.
In the event that this occurs, please notify me of the issue within 3 working days so that we can work out what to do.
In the event that you need to return an item to me, please obtain a Proof of Posting as I cannot be responsible for anything that goes missing in the post
Copyright and use of designs and images
I hold the copyright to all of my work, designs and images of my work. Designs may not be copied or replicated. Unauthorised use of my images is also forbidden without prior consent, although I’m very happy for you to share them on Facebook and Pinterest as long as they are attributed back to my website.
I may use the images of your order for marketing purposes.
I may upload images of your order to my Facebook page. If you would like me to delay doing so until after a specific date e.g. until you have given it as a gift to a recipient, please let me know at the time of ordering.
